Arvigo Techniques of Maya Adominal Therapy (ATMAT) is an abdominal massage technique that helps to improve fertility through increasing circulation in the abdomen. ATMAT helps to increase arterial blood flow to the organs with the specific aim at improving function of the reproductive organs. These techniques are useful in treating fertility, hormonal, and female reproductive issues.

Abdominal massage aids in balancing the venous, nervous, and lymphatic systems. By resetting these various systems, homeostasis and hemodynamics are optimized. Congestion in the abdominal cavity can accumulate and cause blockages in the blood and lymphatic flow. By increasing circulation, freshly oxygenated blood can be properly distributed to the reproductive organs. With increased flow to the uterus, the body can form a healthy uterine lining to support proper implantation of an embryo as well as healthy cell formation.

Abdominal massage can also be useful in supporting the optimal positioning of the uterus. The uterus can become malpositioned by injury to the sacrum or tailbone from a fall, motor vehicle accident, surgical procedure, aging, or wearing high heeled shoes.
